US AFRICA NETWORK is proud to host a national Environmental Justice Tour which brings two African climate justice activists, Mithika Mwenda and Emem Okon, to the States to speak on the local and global connections between climate change, racism and economic inequality. Artists from the Chicago area will be exhibiting their work on March 28, 2014 at the First Church of the Brethren (425 S Central Park Ave) in correlation with the tour. The discussion starts at 6:30pm, so be sure to come early to check out the great art! Each artist expresses their own personal views on the environment in correspondence to everyday life; the frustrations, the obstacles, the obscure, as well as the beauty of nature. Ultimately, each piece adds layers of content to the pressing dialogue of environmental justice.
